Scott and Alyssa are pregnant!

I don't even know where to begin to tell you about my dear friends Alyssa and Scotty. It all started when Alyssa and her very talented, musical husband were my youth leaders almost 6 years ago. From traveling down the Amazon river on a missions trip, to student teaching in Alyssa's art room, to photographing countless summer wedding together, to challenging each other in our walks with the Lord, Scott and Alyssa have influenced my life greatly. I was so privileged to have Alyssa take me under her wing and teach me everything she knows about the photography business.

I will never forget the LONG car rides traveling from wedding to wedding discussing our businesses, the latest and greatest photography gear, the ups and downs of a photographers life, discussing our passions and dreams, to giving me tips about who to marry :) I couldn't have asked for any other person to share my photography dreams and aspirations with.

Your standard of excellence is reflected in every aspect of your business and personal life. I truly don't know any other friend or business that gives so much of their resources, time, and energy to serving the community and the Lord. He will bless your family for all you have done! I'm going to miss you guys in Korea! Love you! Can't wait to see pictures of baby Flaten.

Their expressions are so great! I'm thinking it as something to do with the content of the book...

The 2 boys in the background are so adorable. They were so curious as to why grown ups were reading children's books in THEIR part of the library.

Okay, I think this one is my favorite! The leggings are perfect with the green colored wall.

Korea, here I come!

The countdown begins...2 weeks left...

For those of you who follow my blog, you may have read from a previous post that I am going to Korea to teach English. Well, it's still true! Even though I wasn't able to go in September, I will finally be able to start in January.

I will be bringing in the new year finishing last minute packing since I officially leave January 2. My new years resolution will be pretty long considering I'll have a 16 hour flight. It's crazy to think I won't be stepping on American soil for a whole year, much less seeing my family! Praise the Lord for Skype!

I have no clue what the Lord has in store for me in Korea, but I know it's going to be amazing and will stretch me in more ways I can image. It's so hard for me not to go with a huge long list of things I want to see or do, but I also know that I don't want to put the Lord in a box or limit He wants to do through me. So, I'm going with an open heart and mind. I'm hoping to have time to blog about my experiences and travels, so stay tuned!

Check out where I'll be teaching!

Can't wait to take pictures of the real thing when I'm over there. I'm sure it will look quite different with the buildings covered with snow!

Wedding Album

Every morning I would pray that I'd find a package at my door from the ups man. My anticipated hopes were disappointed until earlier this week when I saw the brown ups truck pull into our driveway.

I'm still debating whether I was more excited to see the album or if my couple was. I'm pretty sure the ups man would say I would win that competition from my reaction when I greeted him at the door. I couldn't wait to unwrap my exquisite album with its mystical glass cover, leather binding, along with the stunning images with it's impeccable design on a 10 x 10 full spread...can you tell I've been awaiting its arrival for weeks?

I was thrilled when I saw my album turned out exactly the way I wanted. Brett, Jenny, I too hope that your album was everything you imagined!
